Story
A person known as Vijay tells a story to his acquaintances while drinking drinks. Vijay tells his friends the tale about Baalachandran (Srikanth Gurram) who is the head of an enterprise that makes crackers. Baalachandran is averse to women ever because his mother got married when he was a child. Baalachandran gets married to a gorgeous lady known as Alagini (Priyanka Sharma) on the advice of his father and he continues to hate her. An unnatural entity, Jinn (Genie), transforms his life. How did it happen? That is the premise of the movie.

Every character feels real, which makes the story even better. With all these talented people in the movie, it’s no wonder Varshal is going to be a big success. The cast delivers solid performances, with standing out in their roles.

The film begins with a fascinating way of telling the story of how Ahalya became an unnatural stone. The film gives us a fascinating introduction of who genies are, which immediately creates curiosity.
There are only two main characters in the movie, however the two of them Priyanka Sharma as well as Srikanth Gurram have done well. The film is stunningly beautiful with gorgeous visuals which are easy on the eyes. Avinash Yelandur does a great job in his brief part. The producers considered reserving the entire material only for the second installment which left many questions unanswered. The mystery of the genie in the initial part hasn’t been unveiled, and it’s likely to disappoint viewers.
In the end, Chapter 1 is a slender story that doesn’t require 100 hours of narration. There was no reason to drag the story so long and the movie test the endurance levels.
